Part of the webinar series "ENBIS meets the editors"
IISE Transactions is the flagship journal of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers. The journal publishes original papers with a strong methodological focus motivated by real world problems bearing relevance with engineering, industrial, and business applications. The journal was founded in 1969. It was initially named as AIIE (American Institute of Industrial Engineers) Transactions. Later the journal changed its name to IIE Transactions in 1983 and then to IISE Transactions in 2016, both as a result of the name change of the affiliating professional society. In the recent years, the editorial board of IISE Transactions has initiated a number of changes to broaden the journal's accommodation of contemporary research topics, many of which has shared interests with ENBIS communities. The speaker will present an update on the current status of the journal, including editorial structure, review time statics, and recent initiatives, and would like to use this opportunity to engage a discussion with ENBIS members.
