In this webinar we will introduce to you the Journal of Data Science, Statistics, and Visualisation (JDSSV), a new journal established by the International Association for Statistical Computing (IASC). We will explain the scope of the journal and present its editorial board. We will discuss the type of manuscripts we are looking for, what is expected from the authors, and the rapid review process that we aim for. Next to rapid publication time, another asset of the journal is that it is free of charge for both the authors and the readers!

Stefan Van Aelst is Professor of Statistics since 2002. In 2013 he joined the department of Mathematics at KU Leuven where he currently is the head of the Section on Statistics and Data Science. He is an elected ISI member and one of the editors of the “Journal of Statistics, Data Science, and Visualisation” that has been established recently by IASC. His research mainly focuses on robust statistics and involves estimation, inference, outlier detection and model selection. He is mainly interested in the development of robust methods for modern data types such as high-dimensional data, functional data, tensor data and fuzzy data. Most of his work contains a large computational component. He has published over 100 papers in journals and books.
