DESCRIPTION:\n\nData Quality and Data Preparation Workflows\nSpeaker: \nV
 olker Kraft\, JMP\, Principal Academic Ambassador\nDate: Nov 26th\, 2 pm C
ET\nAbstract:\nData preparation typically consumes well over half of the e
ffort in any analytics project\, and it is where analyses succeed or fail.
No model can compensate for data that is incomplete\, inconsistent or poo
rly understood. And while AI can accelerate many downstream tasks\, decidi
ng what "good data" means for a given question still takes domain knowledg
e and statistical judgment.\nThis online short course shows how JMP suppor
ts the path from raw data to analysis-ready data within a single interacti
ve environment. We will look at how to bring data in\, how to assess its q
uality (missing values\, outliers\, inconsistent categories\, data type is
sues) and how to clean and correct it efficiently. Because preparation and
exploration happen side by side\, problems become visible early and can b
e fixed on the spot. Every step can be documented and reproduced in a JMP
workflow\, and the prepared data can be analyzed in JMP or handed over to
any other software.\nThe course combines short conceptual input with live
demonstrations on realistic\, messy data sets. It is aimed at analysts\, e
ngineers\, researchers and educators\; no JMP knowledge is required.\n \n
Bio:\n \nVolker Kraft is Principal Academic Ambassador for JMP in Europe\
, fostering and supporting the use of JMP in teaching and research. He hol
ds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and used statistical methods extensiv
ely in his research in communication acoustics. In later positions he deve
loped a passion for customer advocacy. Drawing on this experience and the
success of JMP's Academic Program globally\, Volker is charged with enabli
ng academics in Europe to get the most from JMP.\n \n \n\n \n\nhttps://
