Journal of Statistical Software: What is it? Who reads it? Why submit to it?

The Journal of Statistical Software (JSS/JStatSoft) is one of the top journals in statistics and probability according to several metrics and is independently run by volunteers from the community. This talk will cover a little of the history of the journal, where we are now and where we are heading.
