The Journal of Statistical Software (JSS/JStatSoft) is one of the top journals in statistics and probability according to several metrics and is independently run by volunteers from the community. This talk will cover a little of the history of the journal, where we are now and where we are heading. I'll include details on our new journal submission system and demystify what happens when you click submit.
