Description
This live demonstration uses real-world hard drive data to explore key concepts in product reliability analysis. After a brief introduction to reliability data, data preparation, and accelerated life testing, we will fit and compare models to predict failure rates across different products.
Using JMP’s Life Distribution platform and built-in Reliability Profilers, we will examine how model choice and sample size influence reliability predictions. We will then combine individual product components in a Reliability Block Diagram to evaluate the reliability of an overall server system.
The demonstration is designed for an audience with little or no prior JMP experience. All capabilities shown are available in JMP Student Edition, the free academic license, making JMP a powerful and accessible environment for teaching and applying reliability concepts without the need for coding.
